City of Austin Solid Waste customers can help us meet our capital campaign goal by getting a smaller landfill trash cart and donating the annual savings of $63-$161 to Trinity.  Downsizing from a 60-gallon cart to a 30-gallon cart will lower your solid waste collection fees by $63 per year; downsizing from a 90-gallon cart to a 60-gallon cart will save $98.40 per year; and downsizing from a 90-gallon cart to a 30-gallon cart will save $161.  Call the city at 3-1-1, give them your Austin Energy account number, and arrange for an exchange to a smaller size cart.  You can contact Kathleen Strong at kstrong@wt.net or 451-0580 to arrange for a Green Team member to recommend ways to reduce your landfill trash.
