Britt Cox and her partner Jessica Hager have been members of Trinity UMC for the past three years and is a certified elder candidate in the SWTX conference of the United Methodist Church. She has felt a strong call to ordained ministry since she was twelve years old and will be attending Chicago Theological Seminary in the fall to pursue a Master of Divinity degree.

Britt graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and has spent the past four years working in the nonprofit sector, most recently as a prevention specialist with Hope Alliance, a domestic and sexual violence crisis center.

Britt serves as a Jurisdictional Organizer with the Reconciling Ministries Network , to mobilize United Methodists to work towards full participation of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in the life of the United Methodist Church.
