It’s time once again to go through your garage and collect your old Batteries, Oil, Paint, and Antifreeze for recycling! The annual BOPA recycling event, sponsored by the Methodist Federation for Social Action, will be held Saturday, March 3 in the parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church, 4001 Speedway. We will collect the following hazardous items ONLY: batteries of all kinds, oil of all kinds (in closed containers), paint of all kinds (wet or dry, in closed containers), and antifreeze (in closed containers). The collection will take place from 8:00a until 10:30a, allowing us enough time to transport the items to the City of Austin’s Hazardous Waste Collection Facility in south Austin before it closes at noon.
