Flip Flops for our Ethiopian Friends

While the children are busy making Peace Packs on April 1st, the youth at Trinity will be working on another Kids for Peace project called “Flip Flops for Friends.”  Like with the Peace Pack project, we are partnering with our own Laura Still, who grew up here at Trinity and is now an HIV/AIDS specialist and public health advisor in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia.  The flip flops will provide shoes for some of the folks with whom Laura is working, and will help in an effort to battle Podo, a form of elephantiasis caused by long-term barefoot exposure to red clay soil.
