Conscious has been HIV-positive for the last 17 years. She has struggled with issues of dependency and homelessness. She is a lesbian, artist, actor, and writer, and she has served as the Music Manager for the Queen Latifah Show and hosted Oxygen Media’s talk show She-Commerce. Before her television career, she served a stint as a bodyguard for celebrities. She is a poignant and popular national speaker about HIV and AIDS and recovery. She has put her spoken words to print with her self-published book, “Getting Unstuck”, which has gained national and international distribution. a Native of Harlem, New York, Conscious currently resides in Los Angeles, California and Miami, Florida. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and is pursuing her Master’s in Network Communications Management.
