On Sunday, April 29th our congregation will join with the other congregations, schools, workers’ associations and unions that make up Austin Interfaith to hold a Delegate’s Assembly at 7:00 pm at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1800 East 11th Street. At this Delegates Assembly leaders will ask public officials to commit to working on important issues affecting central Texas families – like education, neighborhood safety, immigration, living wages, workers rights, and more. Candidates for congress, Austin’s mayoral race, and Travis County sheriff have been invited. Along side Austin Interfaith delegations from throughout the city, we will launch our Organizing Campaign and Non-Partisan Get Out the Vote in our neighborhoods, congregations, and schools. Let’s make sure our families’ voices are heard!
