Joyce E. Smith, a long-time resident of Austin, Texas, entered eternal rest on Thursday August 30, 2012.  Joyce will be remembered by her many friends and family as an ardent Texas native, a sports enthusiast, a fan of every western movie and series and her love of all Texas sports teams:  the SWT Bobcats, Texas Longhorns and the Cowboys to name a few.

Joyce was a Texas history teacher first and always, and later an attorney for the State of Texas.  She was born July 19, 1956 in Silsbee, Texas.  Joyce envisioned a world where truth won out, justice was served and the good guys always won.  That was the world she wanted to live in and the world she never stopped working to create.

Please join us at Trinity this Saturday, September 8th at 2 pm for a celebration of Joyce’s life.  A potluck in the Community Hall will follow the service.
