The Religious Coalition to Assist the Homeless (RCAH) formed in 1996 as the result of a Austin City Council ordinance allowing congregations to pool drainage fees to provide extra funding for beds and supportive services for the homeless population in Austin.
Trinity is proud to be a part of this effort! Working with Austin congregations (like Trinity) and social service agencies, the Religious Coalition to the Assist the Homeless allocates grant funding to area agencies whose programs work to expand capacity in their shelters and housing programs, while decreasing the number of homeless people living on the streets of Austin. The RCAH Board of Directors met at the end of last year and granted the following agencies funding for 2013:
- A New Entry, Inc. $25,000
