The TUMC women’s group will meet for a potluck lunch and discussion on October 20th in the community hall after church, about 11:45. Alison Bartley and Paulette Delahoussaye will lead a discussion about the writings of Jane Austen. We will provide her biographical background, and discuss the character traits of her heroines, with a group activity. Some other questions we may address are: Marriage (then and now), money (then and now). What is “the good life? And, was Jane Austen a romantic? We hope you will share your thoughts about Jane Austen—likes and dislikes! Feel free to bring a book to lend if you wish.
