Thanks from SafePlace

Dear Friends,

Domestic violence is a silent epidemic that’s happening all around us, all the time. Thanks to you, there’s hope in Austin for those who are trapped in the cycle of violence.

Thank you for your donation of $427.92 received on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Your continued support of SafePlace has meant that our staff was able to provide face-to-face support and services to 5,499 people in 2012 who needed help, healing, and safety. Thanks to you, someone was available to accompany injured and terrified survivors of rape and sexual assault to the hospital. Thanks to your support, the children in our care were able to continue their education in our on-campus K-12 charter school, without jeopardizing their safety. Your ongoing support of SafePlace means that our hotline has been in continuous operation, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since 1974.

In so many ways, for so many people, your gift means the difference between being a victim and being a survivor. Thank you for your continued partnership.

In peace,

Julia Spann, Executive Director
