Last Sunday we talked about what it meant to listen to your heart. Ideas and emotions are strong. These things pull at our heart-strings and make it difficult to listen to the wisdom inside. We learned that Jesus sometimes got upset with his disciples when their fear distracted them from their work. Jesus and his disciples risked their freedom when they told people that acting selflessly, with loving-kindness was what God wanted us to do(news like that made some of the selfish people in power nervous). Then we brainstormed thoughts and things that pulled on our heartstrings. After that, we made mobiles: hearts with our brainstormed words dangling from the strings! Next week, we’ll talk about how to listen to your heart when in conflict with another person!
