Join us this Sunday, November 2nd, as we welcome our special guest speaker, Chett Pritchett.
Chett is the Executive Director of the Methodist Federation for Social Action (MFSA) and a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and Wesley Theological Seminary. Before coming to MFSA, Chett honed his talents in Christian retail, campus ministry, and nonprofit administration. An advocate for LGBTQ equality in the church, Chett has presented numerous workshops on spirituality and sexuality. He also loves the Appalachian mountains and wants to halt the mountaintop removal method of coal extraction. Chett lives in Washington, DC and is an active member at Dumbarton United Methodist Church.
MFSA mobilizes clergy and laity within the UMC to take action on issues of peace, poverty, and people’s rights within the church, the nation, and the world. Working primarily through the ministries of the UMC, MFSA supports and augments peace and justice ministries at the local, conference, and national levels.
