The Walls of Jericho takes place during the early 1960s, at a pivotal time in American history. It’s about an Air Force family living in the Cold War era amid constant change and crises. The play follows their life path and opens at a time shortly after the Cuban Missile Crisis and continues through the days leading up to JFK’s assassination. The journey of the family’s life echoes the upheaval of the times in which they lived.
Our very own Daniel Brookshire, choir member and sometime musician with the Trinity Earth Band, invites everyone to The Walls of Jericho, a play by Austin writer Sandra Metcalf. Daniel did sound design for the production.
The venue is the Ground Floor Theatre, a new space at 979 Springdale Road (near Airport Blvd.). The final 2 performances are Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 7 pm and Saturday, Jan. 31st at 2:15 pm. Tickets are $15. For more info, call 512.926.2203.
