Rev. Mark Moore — Associate Pastor for Outreach and Community Ministries

Mark serves Trinity as Associate Pastor for Outreach and Community Ministries. In addition to his pastoral duties and audio/visual production for services and events, he coordinates with AHB Community School, Hope Food Pantry, and the many other organizations that make their home in Trinity’s building.

Mark has been an ordained pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) since 2009. For the uninitiated, there is an alphabet soup of Lutherans, and Mark notes that the ELCA are the “liberal ones”!

There is a very long (and ecumenical) journey preceding Mark’s ordination milestone. Mark’s father was a Presbyterian deacon, and Mark grew up hanging on his coattails. By the age of 10, Mark knew that he would become a pastor one day. It only took 46 more years and two more denominations to make that happen!

In his previous 30-year career, Mark was a computer systems development project manager and network security architect, most recently for Raytheon Corporation. He is married to Nima, who also attends Trinity.
