Sunday Morning Childcare Staff

In addition to our Children’s Ministry Co-Directors Kate Carlson and Emma Patterson, Trinity has a great group of caregivers for our children on Sunday mornings.

All of our child and youth caregivers receive training through SafeGatherings, a safety program provided by the Rio Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Hi, I’m Meg! I’m the Children’s Programming Coordinator – creating and facilitating the craft projects each week. I’m originally from Indianapolis, IN and moved to Austin in 2012. I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2008 with a degree in art, and I love sharing my knowledge and experience with the kids here. During the day, I am an office manager for an architecture firm, but long term, I hope to go to grad school for art therapy. My other interests include comics, video games, and Dungeons & Dragons.

Hello! My name is Erika. I’m originally from Georgetown, but I have been living in Austin for almost ten years! My day job is at a local non-profit which provides guidance for high school and college students through the college process. My night job is going to trivia with friends and making punny jokes!

I’m Silvia! I’m from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I received my BS in Speech and Hearing Science & my BA in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I’m currently pursuing a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at UT. My favorite things about Austin are not shoveling snow in the winter, attending concerts, and hiking/camping as much as possible.

Hey y’all! My name is Zoe and I’m a second year public health student at UT. I volunteer with elementary school age children in a literacy program (I love reading) and I work in a chemistry lab at UT. My favorite hobbies are dancing and playing the violin. Once I’m done with my Bachelor’s, I plan on going to dental school!

My name is Casey! I’m from Chicago, Illinois and recently graduated from the University of Chicago, where I studied Comparative Human Development and Spanish. When I’m not at Trinity, I work at Posada Esperanza, a homeless shelter for immigrant women and children. In my free time, I love to explore new Austin coffee shops, read, and attend concerts.

Hi, my name is KB. I’m from Cleveland, Ohio. I am currently serving with Americorps in the Keep Austin Housed program. I received a B.S. in Education from Ohio State University. In my free time, I enjoy walking along Lady Bird Lake and listening to podcasts and/or good music!
